Hi all, I am trying to force a static margin on the right side of a chart to have an indicator plot both on the main chart and, separately, on the right margin of the chart based on a different time scale.
I wanted to ask if this is possible to achieve and if there are any indicators that you may be aware of that have this functionality, so that I can have as a reference to write my own? Thanks in advance
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I don't quite understand what you mean by "based on a different time scale", but what you're asking regarding drawing on the right margin can be done, although you'll need to do some custom rendering using OnRender & SharpDX. The standard plot functionality (invoked using AddPlot) will give you the standard plots that line up with price bars. Then you can use custom rendering on the right side margin. Should be pretty straight forward to do short horizontal line stub(s) on the right margin. You can look at the code for NT's builtin Pivots indicator as an example. If you want to do something fancier like actual plots with changing levels, that would require some extra work, but definitely doable.
