The Value Area is generally considered where 70% of the Volume has traded for the session, when using
Volume Profile, or where 70% of the Time has traded for the session, when using Market Profile
TPO charts.
Many profile traders will use the Value Area's as
support and resistance areas, or areas of interest to initiate trades, in combination with the
Point of Control.
