Help with IB and auto turn off

Hi,

I know many posts have been written of this but none have helped me so far. First of all maybe i dont need to turn it off but i am using ninja trader and starting my strategies from 'wait for flat line' so when i get disconnected every day it messes my strategies up as those that have executed will not unless i change setting 'immediately submit live working orders' which means i cannot start any new strategies until the old ones are finished and i can change back my settings.

So to overcome this i want to be connect to IB 24 hours which obviously is slightly tricky. I have downloaded and tried to get IB Controller to work for about 2 days with no real luck other than it did once enter my username and password automatically but now cannot even get to that stage.

So i was wondering if any kind people on here could offer me a solution as to how to run my strategies so disconnects would be fine or if anyone has some simple steps to set up IB controller or any other solutions?
