Does someone know what's wrong with Eurex? The Zen-Fire Eurex data stopped updating at 11:50 am UTC + 1 (Europe) time. According to a NinjaTrader thread, there are technical problems. However, what worries me even more is that I get an network error when accessing EurexChange - it looks like their whole system including the website is down. (Am I paranoid in thinking of some kind of hackers attack?)
Not very reassuring.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I think you might be right; according to Reuters Deutschland they had a server host crash, and not a little one, since even their backup didn't kick in completely. And the markets where not that volatile today that you'd expect a server crash due to order flow.
Edit: But if it where truly hackers, I'm wondering why no one have claimed responsibility for it (couldn't find anything on twitter or Anonymous' sites/blogs). Anonymous was quite vocal in wanting to attack the NYSE website, and when that site slowed down they claimed it was caused by them. Why not then even claim a bigger feat such as halting capitalist trading for two hours at Europe's biggest derivates exchange?
