Dorman Trading offers T4 as his main platform under the name of Dorman Direct.
I emailed them to ask some information on account, commission, day margin...etc. and this is their reply:
Dorman Trading is an FCM that does open accounts in Euros only as well as US Dollar and Australian Dollars. Minimum account size to open with is $5,000 in risk capital although we accept 3K to start. Margin on the ES or 6E is $500 to $1,000 depending on how aggressive of a trader you are. Commission rate for the ES starts at $4.80 a round turn and the currencies start at $5.72.
Platforms to choose from include Ninja Zen Fire, Dorman Direct (T4), and Strategy Runner with T4 feed. If you are an options trader we also offer the QST platform.
It seems to me that they have a little high commission rate, but they offer segretated account.
So is it 5k or 3k? And is it $1000 or $500 margin, it just seems odd to me the wording of their email.
Since you already have an email going with them, can you ask them to quote round turn on CL and what the margin is. Just out of curiosity and to save me an email, lol
I'd like to see some screen shots of the DOM from sysforex even before I try the 2 week trial, just to see if its worth even doing that.
So is Dorman's white label version identical to this?
5k it's the regular minimun account , but if someone ask they open with 3k too.
No prob., I will.
I tried it and seem good, DOM is fine I like it, feed are quick, volume is right, compared with CME one (look here), but I made a quickly comparison with NT/Zen-Fire DOM, and this last seems to me quicker.
Dorman Direct is T4.
BTW I'm interested becouse of NT problem, but If I have to pay such commission rate......
Luke.
P.s. I'd like too hear somenthing from sysforex too on real trading, like the executions...
This is the reply from Dorman on CL commission and on clarification for the high rate:
Margin for the CL could be set at $1,000. Commission on crude $5.42. Commission on ES $4.50, commission on the 6E $5.42. The Dorman Direct platform fee is $1 because it is fast and efficient. I would be able to drop rates on 6E and ES 20 cents after you show that you are an active trader. But I am giving you Crude $1 over cost and 6E and ES $1.20 over cost that that is a more than fair starting rate for the T4 platform.
So as I thought T4 has fee, I saw that also other Broker, Advantage Futures, applies fee to T4.
So, what is the total commission+ALL fees rate for CL and ES then? Because he was using word commission so if that also doesn't include exchange fees and nfa fees then they are really high when you also add another $1 for their platform.
I hate to keep having you as middle man But what do they classify as 'active trader' ? What is the magic number of trades per month? In other words, he should say it's $1 per trade T4 fee with a maximum of $50 a month, or maximum $500 a month, or who knows what.
