To me at least, it is important to know and remember that no matter how
life-like these things become, they will never be alive. They can only seem
to be alive.

In the future the face may look perfectly human and the expressions as well,
but the techs that will be repairing them see what's underneath. Just motors,
electronic chips, and gadgetry. And lots and lots of code as well.

The idea of automata originates in the mythologies of many cultures around the world. Engineers and inventors from ancient civilizations, including Ancient China,[10] Ancient Greece, and Ptolemaic Egypt,[11] attempted to build self-operating machines, some resembling animals and humans.

Very true. We are not just the outer physical body which is visible from the outside. We are much more then that. There is something WITHIN us which makes us alive "some call it soul" and if this soul leaves the physical body then that body becomes dead, unable to perform any actions. The scientists could create robots which copy all the outer aspects of the human body, but no one can put a SOUL inside it. It will always remain electronic gadgetry.

I rather find it fascinating! love Isaac Asimov stuff. The video also reminded me of the Ghost in the shell anime series, polemical indeed.

Imagine if NJAMC can program part of that A.I.
