Frustrated by no MAC OS X trading platform ? Or just tired of hearing it won't work on a Mac ? Well, well, well; welcome the FireTip platform that runs natively on Mac, from TradePro Futures. It doesn't have all the whistles and bells (which are really not needed for trading PA way), but it is COOOOOOOOOOOOL. Check it out here. See my SIM (demo) screenshot attached.
FireTip also has a Windows .exe application file that installs and runs seamlessly on Linux too. You'll need Wine to install and run it. See my attached Foresight Linux screenshot of FireTip.
This seems to becoming a Journal (sort of). Well, this is my first trade with FireTip still on Mac in March (see attached screenshot). Profit up to $525. I had an initial $50 loss last week while playing around with FireTip. Trade based on reading the Price Action on a 5 Minute chart with EMA 50 as a guide. The Stoch is not really needed; maybe I'll remove it today. Always 2 contracts with 5 ticks Profit target and SL set far-away (almost like no SL setup).
Lolu, I suggest starting a new thread if you are going to turn this into a journal since this thread is in the Platforms section and is titled "FireTip trading platform".
No, no, no .... The few trades I did is just to show the trading features of FireTip platform. Its not going to be a journal. My FireTip demo account will soon expire. I'll however continue to highlights various components of FireTip on Mac OS X and Linux. I'll show no trading anymore.
Hi Lolu, This is my first post in this forum. I've been trading the ES for a while and have been to several firms and used primarily Ninja and TT. For my style of trading I was looking for something a little more user friendly since I'm not a programmer, but don't want to give up any speed or 'important' functionality. Have you tried the Firetip for actual trading; it seems very cool in the demo? Vance
