made some changes to my system so only traded one account today .. which ended up being a good thing ..
was $720 profitable when the wheels came off .. one bad trade .. followed by a second bad trade .. went from being $720 profitable to reaching my max daily loss of -$960 .. two trades with a total loss of about $1700 .. just because I "thought" the price was going to continue going in my direction ..
ARGHH ..

.. you don't have to be the first one at the party .. just be part of the party ..
after yesterday I decided to make some changes to the AccountEquityGuard portion of my button strategy .. left the AccountMaximumDrawDown feature untouched .. just added a section that will close the trade and disable the strategy if a trade reaches a maximum trade drawdown .. a TradeMaximumDrawDown .. I will have to manually restart the strategy if this is triggered .. purpose here is to make sure I take time to think about what is happening ..
decided to try out a couple of other things while working on this change ..
1) used the code from amaTradersDynamicIndex in my main indicator format and then compared the amaTDI code to my double-smoothed RSI .. very similar results
2) added the ninZaRenko bar type .. which seems very similar to the bar type used by APEX's Sniper system ..
had some trouble with REPLIKANTO closing trades .. a couple of times had accounts with trades continuing after other accounts were flat .. not sure what caused that ..
buy hey, luckily I was on SIM

I did stared okay today, still overtrading, but got caught up in the moment. I broke my max size rule.
I'm still going and trying to catch bounces/ counter trend against the main trend. Unfortunately, I'm unable to stick to my decision and overhold a lot of them, resulting in a loss. (green to red).
I decided to start recording my trading sessions. No more bounce plays! I keep giving back my gains!
I didn't include the trade with me breaking my max size rule ... annoyed with myself, couldn't sit through editing/watching so I left it out . It was a trade going short, +$210. 20 MES, 20 ticks.
Such a blunder, still letting the money (P/L) get to me.
Semper Fi Marine! My husband is retired Lt. Col., also flew Phantoms, was CO of MABS24 in Kanehoe. A few pictures Vietnam era - 360+ missions - that's VMFA 314 - big reunion last year in Dallas "Phantom Phoray" - all Phantom Marines.
your husband was with VMFA-314 in ChuLai?? think I remember him .. haha .. jk .. barely remember yesterday .. was with VMFA-232 "Red Devils" flying F-4J Phantom II .. we left MCAS ElToro later part of Feb '69 and got to ChuLai the last week of Feb '69 .. were operational the following week .. the squadron left ChuLai in Oct '69 for MCAS Iwakuni but I went to MCAS Kaneohe instead .. VMFA-235 "Death Angels" had just gotten their F-4J (some still had weight in place of radar) and needed some experience members .. I was still a technician in the radar shop .. didn't go to OCS till '70 ..
360 missions?? .. a real hero .. but kinda funny ... met a USAF pilot who said they could come home when they reached 100 missions .. maybe he was talking R&R .. don't remember
VMFA-314 had the distinction of being commanded by LtCol Peterson while in ChuLai .. LtCol Peterson had a great reputation as an aviator and a person .. he became the first black general in the USMarine Corps .. RIP BGen Peterson
your husband may remember this accident .. happened in ChuLai .. don't remember the details .. that's two Martin-Baker watches for the aircrew and two bottles of Jack Daniels for the seat shop ..

flew with Lt Sam Cordova while he was in Kaneohe .. he joined up with VMFA-232 in NamPhong, Thailand .. pretty sure he was the only USMarine aircraft shot down by enemy aircraft .. it happened the day before his 29th b-day .. last communication was he would be captured if not picked up immediately .. his last location was near a known Viet Cong village .. his remains were found 16 years later

He was there from '69 to '70 and then went to VMFA 122. We enjoyed the Phantom Phoray in Dallas - listening to a lot of "sea stories". Also remembering the ones who didn't come home.
