Hi Mike and All ..

I started to transition from AIQ's TradingExpertPro coding to Ninjatrader last year and initially found the support and NT installed indicators enough to get my custom indicators close to what I had in place for AIQ. But at this point I need to get some feedback and ideas from other experience trader/coders so looking forward to learning more, and hopefully being able to share some ideas/code at some point.

TGH

HI all, my name is Beau and I live in Chicago. Been learning how to trade futures the past few months with the goal of making it a career. Struggling to find consistency so hoping to find some ideas here!

Hi everyone,

I am an entrepreneur who previously had a lot of success with building my own business to the point where I successfully sold my company in 1999 to a public entity for millions of dollars of the company stock. Within 18 months in 2001 my shares became totally worthless and I lost everything. From that point on I have been an employee relying on others to chart my path through life.

I now have decided to take the plunge and get back in control of my future and I am looking for education and direction from fellow traders who have successfully achieved consistent results in the markets.

At this point in time I am spending a lot of time educating myself on a high probability trading strategy, setting up a capital management plan and reading about mental discipline and what it takes to be a successful day trader.

I call myself a beginner trader but I have traded stocks for several years between 2000 through 2006 with no strategic plan. I have taken several hot tips from a few brokers who were more interested in my account revolving than me making any money, and all while I sit in the sidelines with an invest and hope plan for positive returns.

While I did have huge success with one stock which I choose myself I have had terrible results from other stock picks of my own and those from brokers. I actually think the early success I had with the one investment caused the losses with the future investments I have made since then.

I look forward to reading many of the posts on this site and learning as much as I can from the other traders out there.

I have heard a lot of great things about joining this forum and for any traders who take the time to reply any constructive advice is welcome.

All the best to my fellow traders!

Hi Mike and Traders in BM's forum,

I have been trading since 2009 in the US markets, but to be honest with you, I really depended on stocks and options trading alert websites and blogs with service charges. I think some of them you probably know just by hearing the names. I switched to about 5 different of them. I did have some good results, but I think I am basically back to where I started. I cancelled all of my memberships, and stopped trading for quite some time now.

I was lucky enough to find BM's forum from google search, after long hours of searching again for those costly advisors with an interest in beginning e-mini s&p 500 futures trading. I am very new to futures, and wish that I can start learning things the right way by this forum. Also, hope that I can contribute to members here later in the future. Currently using IB(Interactive Brokers), but planning to get NT for the futures trading. I am open for any advice on where to start learning e-mini s&p 500 futures trading, so please kindly share any insights.

I will be trading from South Korea, so may be bit off line while trading is all live, but will do my best to join and participate as much as I can. Thank you, and nice to meet all of you!

I used to dabble with stocks and options some years ago. I got burned and so I decided to come back when I had more time to learn the ropes. Now I'm back. I work evenings, so I thought why not get into trading again. I love the leverage you can get with options so this has become my focus. I have concentrated on simple option plays (gotta be good at something basic before moving on). Seems my better days are when I use price levels (where bottoms and tops converge over days and weeks) as my ally. I'm not sure how much I can divulge on here so I'll save it for the forum.

So although I am in awe at the scripts I've seen in this forum, I am patiently looking for a script that plots levels at clusters of 3 or more price touches. From what I've learned, some people call that a confluence. Well, I can't post links yet, but if you google, "price support resistance for Amibroker (AFL)", you'll see the kind of levels I'm referring to. And I've googled for days and can't find a version for thinkscript.

Anyway, in addition to TOS, I'm currently signing up with Interactive Broker. So if anyone wants to chat about technicals or the market drop me a line.

My first post and it may not be in the correct area but here's my question.

Has anyone tried the Emini scalping strategy by Dr Jonathan Kinlay? (his site comes right up on a search)

It is Tradestation code but does not verify. He certainly seems to have the background to put together a powerful strategy so thought I would check to see if anyone has come across it?

All the best-
