But only lagging once is actually very good.. as long as it didn't freeze or stop that would be a major problem. :O
What are your computer specs if you don't mind me asking? Do you have an i7 3770K overclocked? 6core? Don't want to intrude just trying to get a gauge of what kind of "processing horsepower" we need sort of speeak and what to expect.
~Thanks!~
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?

I am sorry in advance if this is a bit off topic. I trade crude(or atleast try to) using trend trading principles, nothing special, simple HL/HH's. But I want to atleast be aware of the levels(vpoc, VAL....)
This seemed like a good crowd to ask this question.
Can I start with "Markets in Profile" by Dalton or should I look for other sources like FT71, Steidelmeyer etc.
I have been primarily a price action trader using basic principles as taught by Lance Beggs and Al Brooks. I looked into both Volume Profile and Market Profile and both have some advantages. I found the approach by Jim Dalton on Market Profile the most useful(to me anyhow) with his principles of balance and excess being fairly easy to grasp and apply. By no means am I taking anything away from FT71 or any Volume Profilers by saying this; it just seems to resonate best with me.
The guys on this thread have skillfully integrated VWAP and its standard deviation bands as measures of value and balance into a fairly comprehensive and effective trading system.
I would start with Dalton, his books, his blog, and this thread. If it is not what you like , then there is plenty of information out there on volume profile and some threads out there on it as well.
Best of Luck....
And thanks to all the guys on this board for some terrific information!
Mind over Markets is an easier read and introduction, it sells 10 times as many copies, but as Dalton says Markets in Profile has the more advanced concepts and the one you should read. It covers most of whats in the Field of Vision DVDs which sell for $700+, so save yourself the money and learn from the book.
& dont forget to go to the start of this thread and go through the posts of Private Banker, Josh & Greener and others. Also http://leprivatebanker.blogspot.com/
