I feel "proud" that my post has made Big Mike a little "confused"!
My decision?!! It's on the enclosed business card titled "Successful Trader Beth" LOL! I'm going to do real trades starting tomorrow .. whenever I spot high probability ones. I am going to tackle and tame my emotion buddy which is part of me ..
I did mean "revert" .. sharing my first day as a Trader tomorrow. Got U Mike!
Price currently trades around 1028.75 (14+ points higher than Fri's Close @1014.25). If it does not drop really hard for the next 40 minutes, we should have both Top and Bottom VPOCs as follows:
Initial Balance: 1038.50 - 1028.75 (9.75 points) Value Area as at 11:20 am: 1035.75 - 1033.75 - 1028.25 (7.50 points)
Price opened @1031.25
Today's High and Low as at 11:20 am: 1038.50 and 1028.75 (matching IB)
VPOCs: Top 1062.00 and Bottom VPOC 1017.00 (1038.50 was touched) Overnight High and Low: 1031.50 and 1002.75
I think today's Top is in if you believe me .. haha .. Still expect a rotation either Up or Down to extend the daily range. Trade with the Trend!
No real trade yet .. I'll tell you what happened in the next post.
While waiting patiently for a high probability trade, I practised what I "believe" is a good trade on TF (per enclosed). I closed the trade prematurely when I saw a magenta reversal bar.
IMHO, it's an A trade. Why?
- Risk was quite low/acceptable (Did not need a huge SL order. I moved it to 610.4 upon completion of the entry bar.)
TF semi-auto Trades - Nice to have .. possibly 1-2 per week.
You will see from the enclosed that we have 3 Inside Bar (yellow) trades this morning, ie
1. First ones (first short - got stopped .. second long was a profitable one) close to 10:00 am news. No trade 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after. I let the strategies run and did NOT trade. Very important: SOH when there's news!
2. Second Short trade. My former "bad" habit was triggered, ie trying to beat "1 tick below signal bar" and got in at a better rate. Certainly my orders were not filled (tried twice)! Note: I also missed the Big yellow divergence dot as my strategies' headline was blocking it. Should I have seen it, I would jump into Short LOL!
During- and post-trade thought: Jungian's "Find the Best Solution" post came to my mind. For this case, I was hoping and trying to get the Best entry point - gosh!
3. Third Long trade was triggered less than 3 minutes before 12:00 noon. I chose not to trade as it's too close to lunch when unexpected twists may happen. It's a profitable one.
Sooooo, I am not happy with the Second trade and my "bad" habit. F for me! Oh, my revised trading hours:
1. CL 9:00 am to 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm to 2:15 pm (I may do only practice for the afternoon session and not real trades. You know me .. I have PM phobia.)
2. TF 9:45 am to 11:00 am (that's when my strategy is on duty)
I had a quick question about the D3Spotter indicator. Do the dots/arrows occur 1 bar before current bar or do they occur as current bar in NT.
My replay data does not seem to be working...don't know why.

It will plot yellow dots when price goes up or down (and MACD not matching). The zip files comes with over 15 different ones. For example, CCI, ROC and RSI. The dots will be all over the place and not only on Inside bars. It will be a good indicator when it's on HH/LL, ie reversal maybe forthcoming.
It's unfortunate that no Inside Bar trade opportunity in the afternoon. I did spot an Outside Bar one on TF. Since I am bear bias, as soon as it stopped at 593 (not going up), I placed a Sell Stop at 591.50 (1 tick below the Low of the previous bar). PT/SL @10/15 and target hit!
I'm doing my very best to practise mostly Inside Bar set ups (occasional Outside and Reversal ones) while waiting patiently for a high probability trade. Tomorrow will be another Great day to trade!
How's my first day? It's like starting a new job. Not extremely productive yet fruitful .. haha .. Don't tell my boss!
When I was preparing the earlier post, my Sell Stop order and PT were hit!
I'll be thrilled if I cash in 20% of the sim total today LOL! How about having a Daytrading room with me calling out my sim trades?! At least whoever listen will make some real $$. Well .. ..

Considering the overnight High and Low @1025.50 and 1016.25 + it's trading around 1023.25 at this point (around 8:40 am), Mr Market behaves quite calm since its close @1024.00.
Only have Top VPOC @1031.50 while we may use yesterday's low 1013.50 and VAL 1020.50 for the first hour before using today's Value Area.
