HSI (Hang Seng Index Futures) Data Feed Comparison
I only have select exchanges enabled on mine for the markets I trade. I'm not sure what the monthly payment is as I pay by the year. I think from memory mine cost $1100 USD when I last renewed. It might seem a lot but the data is fantastic and customer support is always quick during market hours. Keep in mind that you can NOT live trade through IQfeed (to the best of my knowledge) and you still require a broker live data feed to execute orders through. IQfeed can be used to provide data for as many platforms as you wish to run at the same time on the same desktop, a lot of other data providers will limit the data connection to a single platform.
In cases like IB data which doesn't have full Depth Of Market and whatever other short comings, you still might choose to execute your orders through it but you use something like IQfeed to provide the data to all your indicators, charts, Jigsaw DOM because its a higher quality data feed with full Level 2 and use IQfeed data to make all your trading decisions from but execute through your broker data.
Thanks for that Matt. I contacted ADM locally and sadly they cannot give me the CQG data without a fully funded trading account using their own platform. That seems to be the problem all round. Only have IQ Feed (Kinetick), eSignal, and a few others that are data supply only, and HKFE only on eSignal so far.

>>Have you looked into using IQFeed? ...<<
As noted in earlier message just now IQ Feed does not. I have the IQ Feed client and feed available through my Kinetick subscription. Works great with my Jigsaw which is why it is so frustrating with no HKFE.
>>If you have a grandfathered NT license, you could possibly look at (Do your own due diligence) AMP as a broker (Only older NT licenses allow this). ...<<
Been there! They cannot supply HKFE data even if I opened a futures account with them to trade the ES. I would have thought an IT techy in the back office could enable the HKFE data Ok but these brokers are not that bothered. CQG have already told me, as reported earlier, that NT could enable HKFE through my NT Phillip broker account, but NT will not.
I am thinking of going to AMP and closing my NT Broker and dropping Kinetick though. That's the kind of action NT may take some notice of.
>>Not sure if that addresses your specific issue to get access to the market your after but it might give some different options to look into.<<
It all helps, thanks. So far no go still. Another reason to go with AMP is to trade the Nikkei instead of HKFE, but not urgent just yet. I did an order flow seminar in Hong Kong last month and showing the ES was Ok but locals wojuld drool more over the HKFE. Hence my search.
Richard, I am sorry, I thought that you are looking for a trading account.
I am not sure what is the policy within the local branches of ADM in your area, however, I am a bit puzzled as far as ADM using their own platform for CQG. The only platform that they have that is their own is OAK and OAK has its own data that could also be streamed to QST. However, overseas, they might have something else.
Here is the USA, ADM could stream CQG to any platform that allows CQG. Well...this is what they have done so far for me.
All the best with your search.

No need to be sorry! Actually, your comment about the US office is exactly what I am looking for so talking to the local HK office, which works like the others in town, is only the first step then.
As I am considering an AMP account in the US, if I can get CQG into my Grandfathered Ninja to trade CME and HKFE, I can close my NT Phillip Capital account in the US. Yes, may well have a solution. Update: See below - forgot I cannot run CQG+ADM with NT. Has to be CQG+AMP.
Sure. Well, AMP does not have HKFE and ADM will not active CQG for NinjaTrader (Due to Ninja restrictions).
So I think you should use AMP for your CME and ADM for your HKFE but via a different platform.
We clear both.
Thanks,
Matt Z

Yes Matt, I realized a few moments ago that CQG+ADM will not work with NT. Was just about to come back and edit my post! I guess I must have picked up your thinking as you wrote the post.
@mattz would have a better idea about what's available and how to go about it.
Don't be to concerned if the only option is to use a couple of platforms. I have that sort of setup and while its not ideally what I would be after, you can make it work. The main thing I miss is executing on one platform and not having the order levels visible on the Jigsaw DOM which runs on a separate platform. Currently setting up hotkeys and going to use AutoHotKey so that when the hotkey is pressed, it will send the same order to the Sierra Charts Live platform and NT (jigsaw) running in Sim.
I used Pulover's Macro Creator ? The Complete Automation Tool to record the manual steps of making each platform "active" and then submitting the order using hotkeys and it plays back fine and will execute on (in my case) up to 3 platform instances. My programming ability ends there so I'm getting someone to write up the code so that AHK will find and identify each platform each day when its opened as the trading platform "class" markers are not static between closing and opening the platforms.
That would be a option if you can get some sort of data feed to provide HKFE data to a platform running Jigsaw DOM and if you have to use a broker specific platform to execute live orders. That's really your sticking point from what I can see because you need HKFE data from somewhere running the Jigsaw DOM as that's what you use to find your entries/Exits. So your solution has to include a Jigsaw compatible platform somehow.
Another option (if it can get HKFE data supplied) is to use another platform that Jigsaw DOM is also compatible with like Multicharts 9.1. It might not have the same limitations with what data feeds are allowed to be supplied like NT.
It seems odd that a broker would specifically require a certain platform to be used. Most brokers just require that you use a specific broker data feed to send your orders to them and anything beyond that is open for discussion.
Hope something works out for you and you can find a solution.
