I was impressed that they are on the verge of supporting these concepts, within the framework of the basic product. I do have a question for Brett but do not know how to route it to him. I'm considering Interactive Brokers but Brett mentioned that their API does not support historical tick-level data. When I brought that up to the API tech support rep at IB, he corrected me. Evidently IB does provide tick-level data through the TWS (Trader Workstation) API, but Ninja is not employing the current version. He told me that Ninja needs to update their implementation to incorporate the 973.04 level of the API, and also the 968 or higher level of TWS. How do we get this info to Brett for his comments? I'd feel better using an IB trading solution if I didn't have to rely on a different feed (Kinetick) for the tick data. Geoff

In short, they do provide some tick level data but there are severe limitations to their API that make it unusable for our purposes and they don't provided bid/ask data on each tick which is really required for Order Flow.

I have made some mistakes in my life, but i also made some good decisions too!

Getting a lifetime Ninja license was one of my better decisions.

I heard about the new Ninja order flow yesterday upon exiting my cave, and I have been doing backflips ever since.

possibly error on my part but while exploring the new release NT8 v12 with the orderflow, seems to be a conflict with a chart style which I got from the NT forum Equivolume. I had this chart style in my current setup of NT8, and was following along by watching the recent webinar, thanks. With said chart style equivolume the settings under data series-chart style volumetric does not show up. Once I removed equivolume chart style volumetric then is available.

Hi gang, I thought I would post a brief "review" of the new NT8 order flow + suite. (I posted this in the platforms and ES forums as well) First full disclosure - I am very new (1 month) to order flow and volume based trading so when I say "review" keep that in mind. 2nd, I have not been a profitable trader in futures. Having said that, I must say I think NT8 has a winner here for people wanting to read the market as it is happening and move with the smart money ala order flow trading.

The volumetric bars is a footprint bar on steroids and can show you a wealth of info to fine tune your entires and exits....buy/sell side strength, max volume price level within the bar, 7 different delta stats.

The trade detector shows you possible HFT /algo trading, or can be set for identifying block trades, or volume of trades at different price levels.

Here's a chart with labels ( and my scalp trades today) just trading 1 contract on the quiet ES 3m
