Chic with Nile Rodgers Le Freak From Live At Montreux 2004 DVD
And here an other cover. I am clear the above is not the original, but it is in my view a super piece of music.
Chic-Le Freak(Metal Version)
By the way: The first version, as you surely have recognized, is from a music festival from "Montreux" in Switzerland. If you ever plan to visit here in Switzerland you may think to include a visit to this music festival at the time table you do for your visit here. I can assure you that you not made any mistake by doing so and be informed "Jazz" in this music festival is only a part of the whole universe from music you will and can find there.
To find a cover for this nice, old song was not so easy, as the original is really beautiful. Finally I had to make a choice and the following I choose d:
Everybody's Talkin' (Harry Nilsson/Fred Neil) - Caro Trischler & Band live @ klangraum
Not a Slipknot nut, but one of my favorite songs. Came across this teenage kids cover a while back, and don't hate me, but actually only been listening to this rendition since.
Vocals are amazing and the riffs added at 2:40 completely transform the song, I break out air guitar every time.
Will have to do your best to ignore the goofy blonde girl though, almost ruins the experience. ;-)
