Hard to believe so much time has passed since my last post. Gone through some tough times. Divorce, both parents died (within 3 months of each other), heart problems, etc. BUT.... because I don't give up I am here. So.... let's get started.
I am trading both a personal account (around 5k) and a LeeLoo funded performance account. I use a strategy I developed in NinjaTrader to help catch trades that I miss. Call it a semi-automated strategy. I use a trade replicator so I don't have to trade each account individually. What happens on one account happens on the other.
Yes, I am a bit insane in that I chose the Accelerator account with LeeLoo. In my opinion it is essentially the same as an Investor account but with a better payout plan and no trailing drawdown. I plan on scaling anyway so I started with just 1 micro trading MNQ. I have built it up to 642 in profit so I have about a 1200 dollar cushion now.
I recently changed from MNQ to MES. Why? ES and MES just move so much smoother when compared to NQ. As I get older I find it fits me better. Yesterday was my first time trading MES live and it went well. Still lots to learn. Still moving my stop too quickly. Will work on that.
May not trade much today but will hit it hard starting Tuesday of next week. As I go along I will explain my system and maybe it will help others figure out how they want to trade.
Happy with the results for the day. Still working on trusting the system. It works well if I let it. NFP kind of had me jittery so I missed some prime opportunities. It's Friday heading into a long weekend so I will probably just leave it there and head out on the green side.
Starting Tuesday next week will begin the great ramp up. LOL!
Ok weird day for me. Started out with a good trade with a bad result. Then spent the rest of the day digging out of a hole. Ended up green so that's good. Once I went green I stopped. Played around in sim for a while. I have an idea that could potentially pay off big while minimizing risk. Tested it out in sim. Liked what I saw. I may just trade the LeeLoo account tomorrow and not risk my capital on the first live test.
Things that went well: No panic after the loss. Just continued to trade my way and dug myself out.
Need to work on: Better luck. LOL! Tomorrow is another day.
Hi TradingOgre! I've also got an Accelerator account ... it was a little nerve-wracking due to the tight loss limit, but I think it made me more disciplined with position sizing, and of course I like not having to worry about a trailing drawdown. Looking forward to more posts,
Cheers
