Hi Allseeker,

Yes definitely. I actually think I got better over the years even when I was losing all the time, just couldn't stop blowing up my account every once a while.

Then I switched to micros, stopped rage trading when I took a big loss and I finally stopped blowing up my account over and over. And that is about 2 years ago. So I think it's more of a mentality change + leverage control over greed, since I use the same time charts I used 4 years ago.

Okay, so from what I understood, you are fully discretionary and don't have a specific trading strategy?

And change happened due to change in attitude towards trading and calming down more than having an statistical edge?

Correct, I don't have a "If X and Y then Enter trade" kind of strategy.

Also I do scalping and swing both so impossible to use the same strategy.

I use 5 min / 15 min / 30 min to determine resistance/support on nasdaq e S&P. ANd use 1 min / 2 min / 3min for gold and oil and other symbols.

Anything lesser than 5 min for Nasdaq IMO is useless.

I have no positions currently but CLX24 has hit 71.63 then back, 71.63 then back again, 71.68 then back, I think I got the wrong target today originally 71.71. So annoying especially pre-market when it's slowed down so much.

Welcome TopKorean Trader.

It is always to pleasure to see a new journal. I love reading journals and the progress of individual.

Is it possible for you to change the structure of your journal? What I mean by that is, it is very hard to track your entry and exit based on the information you provide. What I'm curious is thinking process or may be even a screen shot of the trades for a day.
We are all in different time zones and seeing entry and exits or if you are still in a trend wouldn't make a difference to most of us.

As you may notice first question went straight into the thinking process and psychology.

Thank you for mentioning that you are scalping. May be you can elaborate on it. Do you just watch the level on the DOM and carry the trade to the next level ? or you just using a chart.

I totally understand and can relate to what you mentioned in you very first post, but also keen to see what was going through our head when you were able to cross the wall. Four years is a small period consider some people spent 10 years and still in the same place.

If you can share your wisdom many of us will appreciate it.

Hi t38d3r,

Thanks for your post. Yeah I should change to a just 1 screenshot per day. I just wanted to post live every trade I make so when I end up making $30,000 monthly, haters are not going to come and call me a fake clown. But yeah let me stick to my broker screenshots for the time being, when haters start to debate I maybe should create a chat room where I chat my trades live?

I only use candlestick bar charts, but I look at many different time frames. Not sure if I said four years but I spent 10 years blowing up my accounts over and over, so it's 10+ years for me too! Hope you are doing better. Leverage control is the most important thing IMO, I never looked at micros in the past, thinking they were booring. But now I think different, someone should and only use micro contracts unless a stable diary starts to come up for at least 6 months.
