Like Peter Thiel you can open a Roth IRA with someone like Equity Partners and trade with Ninja, or now with Crypto. What could go wrong? Dereg is great. Schnell!!

TradeStation would have probably been a better, less expensive buyout. It would have been better if they simply would have gone back to the pre Monex buyout chart. They were top at one time for a reason.

What does it mean for Tradovate? NT acquired Tradovate already, and is Tradovate also a part of Kraken?

Some aspects of dereg is great but not all. I trade some crypto but mainly futures. I would rather my futures account not be exposed to a firm with massive amounts of customer crypto exposure. My understanding is our funds are not currently segregated at NT. So hypothetically one big customer could blow up a firm and take our accounts with it. Being owned by a crypto firm may add risk in that regard. So here is a lot that can go wrong.

"The day I became a winning trader was the day it became boring. Daily losses no longer bother me and daily wins no longer excited me. Took years of pain and busting a few accounts before finally got my mind right. I survived the darkness within and now just chillax and let my black box do the work."

Dude it was a sarcastic joke. When I ask what could go wrong, that wasn't sarcastic.

If they aren't segregated accounts, then that would be a major CFTC violation. Thats a major requirement just to play on US soil.

Curious where you had gotten that impression.

1.5 billion reasons why NT did this. Simple as that.

NinjaTrader is owned by PE Long Ridge Equity Partners. It's been about 5 years, the typically horizon for PE and they are cashing out.

I wonder how much of that 1.5 billion is just for the financial licenses.

Also interesting that only a few weeks ago on March 3rd, the SEC dropped its lawsuit against Kraken, thanks to Trump. The lawsuit was for commingling customer and corporate funds while operating as an unregistered securities broker, clearing agency and dealer.
