I have a copy of T/s 2000i, I want to use it for charting mainly, along with my IB trading platform and use there data feed, the problem is I dont know how to do this, ie connect it all together, if possible kinda hoping there might be a Tradestation guru out there somewhere who can give me some direction !
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
your Tradestation reseller can probably help you with some tools. There used to be some like Hypertrader or other. Google for "tradestation 2000i" "Interactive brokers" and you will find some bridges. If they are good or easy to work with, I have no idea. Besides you will likely run into other issues getting TS to work on newer operating systems - it can be done and there are walkthroughs on how to do it on the net as well. But all in all you are adding a lot of maintenance to an already outdated platform. As an IB customer you might want to check out the integrated version of Multicharts. This gives you the features of TS 2000i plus a lot more, without out the hassle for a low monthly rate.
I did try hypertrader, had used them for number of years but recently there service is all but non exsistent been emailing for over a month to get a remote install done... still waiting, I guess its there way of saying no thanks... will try multicharts with IB, appreciate your input........many thanks and regards, john
