My journal uses a tally mark system to track executed and passed opportunities that where either part of the plan or not.

This journal helps me evaluate how much I "trust" my plan. It helps me to turn the "shoulda, woulda, coulda" into If I could I would.

It highlights how my behavior is acting on the opportunity, or whimping out.

It measures how well may executed trades are performing, and how often I trade setups outside of my plan.

My plan requires, Good market structure, good trade location, and risk management. Additionally, there are three questions that I ask:

Does the trade meet the aforementioned qualities?
Is there an identifiable trend?
Is there a tell?

The matrix has been attached. The journal is only updated to result the outcome of an opportunity that presented itself and was either acted upon or passed up.

The position built in TWTR over the past couple weeks as this name shows that too many sellers are in this trade.

The Trend on the daily is slightly up, Market structure is good as this name has found buyers at previous support.

ATR is extremely low and the entry was with very good trade location through several call options in the 34.5, 37, and 40 strikes with monthly July expiry.

Yesterday, price action rose to reveal to me that sellers where too many, and it only took a few buyers to advance this name.

The first price target of 48 and risking against an entry in the 36 area having a stop under 34 gives this trade 6 x risk to make 12 to risk 2, all in the form of option premium.

When this trade resolves, the tally will be either profitable or not, but the trade is inline with the plan.

TWTR was leading my lists in terms of gainers yesterday after the market pulled back hard on Monday given the Greek weekend issues. The market bounce was expected.

Today this name is retracing, which is to be expected after such a move yesterday to absorb the buyers through selling.
