I have a Think or Swim indicator that I'd like to have converted for NinjaTrader8. Complete noob at this, but seems this may be the place for some advice of how to? Maybe someone already has so don't want to reinvent the wheel
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Post the name of the indicator and the code, if you have it, here, plus a screenshot showing what it does, and your best explanation of how you would use it.
The chart shot and the explanation may (note: may) entice someone to take a look at it. Any help is purely voluntary, so if you put your best foot forward, and if there is a case for it being widely useful, then there is a better chance of there being some interest.
Also, you'd be surprised how many indicators have already been converted from one platform to another. So who knows, it may already be out there for NT.
Another resource is the NT website's support forum, here: https://forum.ninjatrader.com/index.php You can make a search there by name first, and post a request for help if it's not there already.
There is an extensive selection of free NT (and other) indicators here on futures.io, but it requires an Elite membership, which is not free. Generally, the best reason for going Elite is that you are convinced of the forum's value and want to participate more widely in the Elite areas, and not just to get an indicator. That could be an expensive indicator, and you don't even know if it's in there. I think there is a lot of value in this forum, but that's just me. See what you think after being here for a while. Your choice, obviously.
Try the free resources first. Someone may read this thread and give you a hand. But supply as much info as you can -- at a minimum, the name and a screenshot of it in action on ToS, with a good description of what it does. Plus code if you have it. (I'm not sure from re-reading your post if you have either the code or a screenshot, but do what you can. It may be enough.)
Good luck.
Bob.

It's going to be real tough if you don't have anything more to go on than this name and your description. When you say you don't have the code, I assume this means that you don't have the indicator, or that the code is locked by TOS so it can't be read. That's going to make it hard to re-create.
Unless someone who is familiar with TOS and also has that particular indicator can post the code, or unless someone already has an NT version, it may not happen.
On the positive side, there are, at last count, just about 42 billion indicators in existence (well, I'm guessing, but probably I'm not that far off) and frankly none of them is really totally unique. So this indicator or something else that works for you may come to the surface. Your futures journey is just barely getting started, and there will be much to work through as you go. There will be plenty of time to try out many things until you have your own style.

I attempted to upload a screenshot of how this looks on the post but obviously it didn't work. Trying again here...
No, I don't have the code, but the training group I'm taking use ToS & highly recommend this indicator. Being Canadian I can't use T0S via TD Ameritrade as they are though - hence trying to get it here for NT8. The code they shared was locked by ToS by the look of it.
@JDS300, when you inserted the link you accidentally left a space before the link, so the system rendered that space by inserting "%20" at the beginning (see how it is quoted above.) That gives an invalid link.
