I have all my tradingprograms and the iqfeed link running while trading, when i am done i put my trading computer into hibernation. When i resume trading it wakes up from hibernation but the iqfeed does not work anymore. Even if i press the stop iqlink and start iqlink buttons in the iqlink window. (the iqfeed diagnostics program just hangs at register application step).
To get it to restart I have to open the task manager, kill the process and then start iqlink (just pressing the close on the iqlink window is not enough to make it restart).
Does anyone else experienced this and knows a solution ?

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I've recently discovered the same problem happening for me on the Rithmic prod server (doesn't happen on the Paper Trading server) when I put my computer to sleep. I can't even see any running process for it that I can kill to fix it, I have to completely reboot so far to login again. Interested to hear any possible solutions.
I have a one way to keep going for the IQ-feed but i dont like it too much, so i am still hoping for a better solution. When i kill the process IQConnect.exe and restart iqlink it works again and the software i use reconnects to iqfeed just fine. So i automated the kill iqconnect.exe and restart on resuming from sleep or hibernate (by listening for WM_POWERBROADCAST, with wparam of 7 or 8 which means wake from sleep or hibernate).
the client version is 4.8.1.7, i believe its the newest.
Also, i discovered tonight if the sleep or hibernate is short it still works when resuming, if its longer it doesnt. I have only been an iq-feed user for a few days, so i do no have the exact treshhold of what short and long is yet. But if the sleep is a few minutes (which i tried tonight several times) it works fine, if the sleep is 1 hour it doesnt.
ktrader, what kind of computer are you using, and what program are you using to manage your network connections? Have you tried to see if the problem can be replicated on a different computer?
Its a windows 7 machine, top of the line hardware.
I did not try any other computers as this is my trading machine, and i did the fix by killing the process iqconnect.exe automatically everytime the computer wakes from sleep or hibernation (if iqlinklauncher is still running it seems the process even autorestarts) and all works after the restart of the process.
I do not have any software to manage my connections on the windows 7 machine (except the window 7 network stack of-course).
Our Development staff was unable to duplicate the failure after hibernation. After waiting a few hours following hibernation, the connection to the server had finally terminated (exactly as you described), but IQFeed resumed operation normally and reconnected to the server as soon as the machine was brought out of hibernation. No restart was required.
