I have read so many posts and I've tried a bunch of different platforms, my head is about to burst. Can you help me decide or help me see what I might have missed?
I trade ES and CL I use market profile, TPO, volume histograms. I LIKE HISTOGRAMS Mainly because I am not a "numbers person" but if i see it on the histogram, I can easily see where the majority of business has taken place. I use candlestick patterns value areas mostly. I also use my mobile tablet or phone. I use the ADV DEC and TICK
I use a desktop, have a laptop as backup and if for some odd reason, cable goes out, i always have a very good cell to close positions. It's worked fine, and eventually i will get two internet connections, but I do want to have access via mobile.
As for mobile, the only ones I've found are CTS, S5 and TT.
My WISHES: A mobile platform with DOM AND Chart on same screen :-) (that doesn't charge a lot per side and I can log in at the same time with 2 computers and tablet/phone.
Pennies add up!
Platform: Investor/RT or SOMETHING like it that does TPO and Volume histograms can mark high low close etc. Market profile stuff.
Investor/RT is a bit pricey i think if there is something that works like it, please let me know.
Brokers I was considering, ADVANTAGE, AMP (ya, i know) NO on OPTIMUS, Stage5, ?? any other ideas?
I will be trading through 2 accounts and would like to make trades with one click, for example, 1:2 ratio.
I like Stage5 DOM because it had a histogram for volume but they are the most expensive, so I think they are out, i'll call them before moving on.
DATA: I was told to use CQG because that is what one of the brokers provided... I'm a little confused, do some platforms supply the DATA or do I use the brokers supply or you just get your own like . I like my pizza with splattering of good stuff. I don't want to just "use" the feed i'm given if it is going to be wonky when the market speeds up. I really really hate that.
Other platforms:
I thought about MarketDelta, Multi Charts and Sierra.. Xtrader because of their mobile platform but for the life of me, i can't figure out how to change the chart from 1 min to anything on the TT Mobile Demo. .
So, there ya have it. Any suggestions or things I missed? Am i asking for too much?
Why you ask, have i not moved to a new brokerage yet? Because I trade a LOT of options on equities. SO, over the last year, i have been focusing on Futures, while weaning myself off options. I trade with the KISS mentality, The less noise the better., unless its good noise
Thank you in advance.

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Thanks! I agree.
I just saw a screenshot of Sierra Charts DOM and that is exactly what i'm looking for, but they don't have a mobile platform. I guess I would use a different platform with a DOM to close in case of emergency. ?? Mobile trading is my last resort, but I have needed it.
Thanks but I won't use IB DATA. need continuous not packets😃 and their intraday margin is high, but I think your right on Sierra! Still looking for mobile app.

i have IB hooked up to sierra chart. I also have a small futures account at CTS via deepdiscounttrading. What is helpful is that you can use the cts data feed and mobile app to handle high speed high quality data and dom performance, IB for its best in class account stuff (and honestly pretty good mobile app), and then mix and match. I have found with the built in sierra chart back fills in concert with the CTS data feed, i dont need a third party data provider like iqfeed.
Thanks for reminding me of deepdiscount, I knew I was missing some. I'm curly testing out CTS on my phone, do you use it on your desk top too or just mobile.. is there a way to change the chart to something other than 1 minute? For the life of me I can't find the setting. The dom is a bit of a real estate hog for each price line. I probably need a bigger phone (mine is nice and tiny) or get the tablet out.
