So motivated by Brett Steenbarger's "Daily Trading Coach" and the realisation that I am my own enemy of my trading I think its time to start my trading Journal....
In short, I use a Price Action approach on an intraday basis, in conjunction with Volume Profile for ES (atm)
Level's I have done stats on and look at are the typical Overnight High and Low, the Initial Balance, VPOCs and Gaps/Gap sizes.I keep the LVN and HVN levels on the screen as potential support/resistance HOWEVER decisions are always based on price action.
I trade sim and will continue to do so until I work out my issues and build justified confidence.
I live in Europe and work during the day, so I trade evenings. This means I miss the open and first 1-2 hours of the day except Friday's.
Although I am seeing slow but sure improvements I battle the common demons as I am sure most do:
- Impatience/jumping in early
- FOMO
- Overtrading
- Trading when frustrated/tired etc.
I welcome any criticisms and will even be grateful :becky:
