I look at the NQ when trading the NQ. I do homework each night and determine horizontal levels of interest using volume profiles. I use auction market theory on larger time frames to determine diagonal levels of interest (basically channels). Once my levels are in I have a 1000 tick chart for tracking the balance between supply and demand and a 200 tick chart for refining entries.
IMHO most people are looking at way too much to be successful.
I will be posting my current trading system which I have tested for the last month (demo) with profitable results. What I need is feedback and further testing and refining from you fine folks.
NQ moves more like CL , in that it has can have massive pulses . But, it's a trade off. The levels will smear a bit
requiring a bit larger stop levels.
The massive liquidity of ES keeps these pulses muted . The two were quite correlated during the full on
QE , but now that tapering is in effect they are moving a bit differently
