I'm a quadriplegic and just getting into MES futures. it would be cool if there was some disabled traders I could hook up with for accountability etc. let me know!
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I am disabled I have a psychiatric illness, and I have to take 10 different pills. I am not profitable yet but I see progress being made. I feel my condition does make it more challenging for me to trade but it's what I like to do. I love the markets, creating indicators, and automating strategies. The platform I use is Multicharts, with Rithmic as the data feed.
My take on rithmic is that it's a really good data feed especially if you use order flow or need fast data. But besides that, it has low latency when you submit orders it's almost instant but I have a good internet connection. It has served me well.
I have used the Motivewave platform the OrderFlow version. I believe it is the same as EdgeProX or very similar to it. I used it with Rithmic and it can show all the limit order levels on the chart, not just the 10 a standard dom shows. You can also sync the dom and the chart to show the same price points. So you can see where all the liquidity is at. It is like having Bookmap on your standard charts all in one. I think that platform is better than the one I am using but with Motivewave I would have to code indicators and such in Java.
I'm with a pain management group. No, all I need is Hydromorphone but they won't give it to me.
The FDA/DEA and state agencies have put the fear of God into doctors warning them they could lose their medical license if they over-prescribe opioids to patients....so they prescribe NOTHING.
I hear you! My friend fought for years before she found a doctor that understood her needs.
For me, I plan to avoid any live trading on days when I cannot mitigate my nerve pain. When those days occur, I don't trust myself to make rational decisions; let alone, stick to a plan.
