The room is really great! TYVM for what u are doing to make this happen. It's helped a lot to listen you as you trade, it's much easier for me to pick up on how someone thinks about trading or their state of mind while in a trade by listening to them.
As far as a spreadsheet, I think that what u are already doing could possibly impact your trading and wouldn't want you to do any more till you see how this works out. Also, I believe it's always best to stay as far away from results oriented thinking as possible.
I believe Alex is obtaining his stated goal for the room- to help others. When I was new I used to stare at my screen 3 inches from it and harp over every tick. I had never been in a trade room before today and noted that the most likely benefit to come from the room is to show developing traders that sense of relaxation as the trade works itself out- a conscious awareness of the environment and the clues made available at the moment but no need to get all excited either way. This is something that is very hard to obtain from reading a thread or a book and I believe noobs will pick up on this trait.
based on my experience the guys that talk the most frequently about money are the guys that are making the least of it. Corollary to that when you have been around a while you are less enthralled by dollars and more by the victory associated with consistent high performance. Think about it: To someone making x amount per typical week, making x is the expectation and it is not a big deal.
People talk in a way that reflects two things, how they want to be perceived (true or not) and about what bothers them (always true).
I'm only going to type positive stuff at or about guys in the forum. If I have a question about character or content I'll just ask respectfully and move on...I don't need the distraction.
@rocksolid68 has yet to talk nonsense or lead guys astray. There is evidence in what he says that he does know what he is talking about as it relates to his specific approach. His path does seem similar to guys that had no idea and no right to be heard. He says he is posting to share with others, that is noble, and I believe him. His content will change, evolve and improve as he gains more and more experience. IMO he will learn a great deal through the process and continue to get better and better at the craft and at sharing it here. Credit, of course to the guy that puts himself on the line and makes calls in a way that creates accountability. The guy is smart, friendly, respectful and enthusiastic. IMO the community should encourage people. So, good work man. Focus on what makes you happy. If you want to make a spreadsheet because it will help you in specific goal attainment, do it.
After reading the recent responses regarding the spreadsheet, I have come to the conclusion that I will keep one but only for myself. If at some point in the future we decide it would be best to put it in the public eye, we will.
Thank you all for the very kind words. I am glad you all seem to like the room! I know I am having a blast!
You all are the best and very supportive, for that I am grateful.
As you know as soon as you start to show dollars and when it increase to a significant level, you will attract lots of negativity and will become a major distraction to your trading
You nailed it !! It is hard to get a sense of a persons state while they are trading, by reading a post. I don't know any traders personally, so I thought all traders were like me while trading (nervous and anxious). This was my first experience in a trade room and I felt a relaxed vibe. Hopefully this trait can rub off on me as I start to develop my own strategy.
This is something I have been meaning to ask you all! When I was talking to some of you, I was awfully afraid that I would persuade someone to do something they didn't believe in!
I was wondering how I might affect other traders.
Hmm.. I wish there was a way to not affect other's trading biases and such...
I do not know how to do such a thing except to NOT give my bias on the market. If I do that, a lot of people will lose out on somethings they want.
I am unsure how to find the perfect medium.
What do you all think?
Thank you for the thoughts and input! You all mean a lot to me, so I hope that we can find some sort of solution!

KBH80 response: If someone is taking your trades and not thinking for themselves then they are doing themselves a disservice. Personally, I enjoy having coworkers in such a lonely career and it's nice to see what others think while I am thinking for myself based on my own style...occasionally someone syncs up with me and it's reassuring, otherwise it's a potential learning opportunity. I fully support you and hope that others realize trading rooms are not for others to trade exactly as the moderator but to take the opportunity to broaden their horizons (and for me, seek a sense of community) .

Only saw this now, thought I would give my thoughts in your journal and not pollute @GruttePier journal.
My view on this is that a trader that joins a room has to take responsibility for what they do with the information that they get in the room. What you are doing in my view is amazing. You are taking your time and resources and sharing it for free for anyone that wants to have a look. Of course your biases and trading methodology is going to come into it, it is your strategy that you are showing after all.
You cannot take responsibility for what people do with the information. It is the responsibility of the individual trader in the room to decide what they do with it.
So in short, I think you should keep on doing what you are doing exactly like you are doing it, including your daily anaylsis with your bias etc. Your knowledge of trading is much more important in the room than what an individual trader might do with the information.
