I have an appointment at noon so I'm finishing early. +650 euros on the dax. Most of the setups I saw but elected not to take or I was not quick enough to get in, worked. so I just need more confidence to take them and get in sooner.
The Turning Point Oscillator test with Eurostoxx was -100 euros and won 1/2. The signal that failed was in a series of overlapping bars so I will introduce a rule that says ignore signals that are in overlapping bars unless they come at the end of a big move. So taking that into account it was 1/1. This is how I build up my discretionary rules based on my observations. Takes a while. And that last trade I moved stop to BE, I'm still working on that. It might hit my 2nd target had I not moved my stop. stoxx is a different animal than dax & CL so I have to come up with a way to manage my targets and stops.
first image is dax pl, second is TPO for eurostoxx. the red dots signal the TPO signals which is a cross above the threshold.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
The pace of tape. but it acts weird. On a 50 tick or 25 tick CL chart, it will plot way about 1500, but when i go to change the settings it resets all the bars...do you have any issues with it?
Well I got my butt handed to me today with CL. Apparently one should not go against the trend on a trend day. Who would have thought. But seriously, I was so focused on the short term charts and on the volume ladder that I totally forgot the bigger picture and pretty much got killed. I wasn't even using my cycle charts which would have had me short or flat. And worse I didn't trade with this big trend.
So a big screw-up for me today, I need to formulate my game plan if I'm going to get this under control. The ladder testing is over, I now need to focus on the entire picture.
-$600 on Crude.
still profitable for the day due to my +$884 on dax but still I'm not happy.
FWIW if you are only using it COBC=true on tick charts, then I think this code does the same thing without a need to define a class and keep a list of them:
I guess maybe you were planning to have it count ticks on any kind of bar, at some point, real-time only?
