Here is an indicator that I spent quite a bit of money building. It still needs some work in my opinion so have fun and lets see what it can become. The only thing I will ask and trust everyone here for is please don't hand these out beyond the Elite club. Thank you!
Description for each parameter are at the bottom of the settings window when highlighted.
Please keep in mind as stated when I posted this, "THIS STILL NEEDS WORK", however, this is a great start for someone to take and run with. As I found out when I asked my program to build this, after many many tries, this is not an easy task. This is as far as he could take it and as much as I was willing to spend
This indicator might be best in a separate forum where you guys can work on it as a team!
While the Auto Trendline tool has already been done, this twist adds a true/false for historical trendlines. The benefit is you can add it to your chart several times with different pivot strengths showing more relevant trendlines across multiple synthetic timeframes without all of the historical lines all over the place.
Again as always, you will find it under the J's for JAM as that is how I organize my indicators that my programmer builds for me. Feel free to rename it.
Here is an indicator that I had my programmer whip up for me as I was looking at adding time and volatility for use with Range and Renko bars.
Average Bars per minute - if the average time per minute then smoothed by a moving average is over x period of time - don't trade.
Period and Signal are from the ADX component of the DM, the reason I had my programmer use DM instead of just the ADX is to experiment with the +DI and -DI. But the + and -DI and not functional in this version but instead time per bar is used. As always my indicators have JAM in front so I can keep them in one place. Feel free to rename for your own organization process.
(Vendor License taken out sorry)

Here is another version of the MACD BB with paint bars added. Nothing earth shattering by any means, but the Paint bars are a nice feature.
When the MACD moves outside of the BB's the bars change colors. You will need to make sure bars look back is on infinity and not 250 for historical data.
Fixed Vendor license is out sorry for that, please re-download and let me know if you have any other issues.
This indicator is based on tradestations free momentum indicator but I added a feature that is a histogram by default, smooths the histogram, adds a moving average to the histogram and reference lines in the suubgraph.
Details about what the indicator is and does can be found at the above link. This version is a minor update, and the script was updated by @Zondor. Thanks to him for that!
He made some changes to the original for optimization, and cleaned the script up a bit. There is still plenty that could be done to make the indicator better which I have not done yet.
Note: This indie still uses the old version of FT's VWAP(version33).
ThatManFromTexas (I lived in Texas for four years, too!) created this useful indicator that colors the region between two moving averages.
I applied extremely aggressive optimization techniques that should reduce the CPU cycles on COBC false by 90% or more compared to the original version. I used every trick I could think of: moving code that was executing on every tick to OnStartUp(), using predefined instances of the external indicators, and redundant tick rejection. If you select EMA's, they will be calculated within the indicator, without any need to use an instance of the EMA class.
This is provided as a protected assembly. I don't have to give away all of my secrets, do I?
Why do this? Optimally coded indicators load faster, and use less computer resources while running. CPU cycles are not free. Using less of them makes Ninjatrader more responsive and reliable. Charts load faster, and lag less in fast markets. Crashes and freezes become less frequent.
Have you noticed how quickly this indicator loads, and how responsive it is? Please leave comments regarding your experience with this version. Maybe some day ALL of your indicators can be coded like this.....
A very basic version of the Ichimoku from the Ninjatrader® forum, with only the essentials. Nothing special except for the code optimization which makes it want to run with CalculateOnBarClose = FALSE. Seems to work okay in replay... at 500x actual market speed.
This is good enough for now, but further optimization is possible. The MIN and MAX functions are being called more often than actually necessary, and redundant intrabar ticks are being processed.
I could not find, does anyone have this indicator for NT8?
Thanks.
April 24th, 2022 12:39 PM designbynicki Hello!
I am Nicki. This is the indicator I have been looking forever...... ^^
Is there possible to get Ninja Trader 8 version?
Thank you in advance!
Nicki,
February 11th, 2018 08:08 AM reach4thelasers This indicator is absolutely useless. This is not how Al Brooks counts highs and lows. Not even close to it.
January 29th, 2015 10:06 AM Hood Is this indicator for Ninjatrader? I can't see any mention of what platform this is for.
