Hi fellow NexusFi (formerly BMT)-ers,

I've laid in a feature request at MultiCharts for a feature I would like implemented.

I' ve been programming in EasyLanguage now for some 10 years.
I Started out, like most, with cluttered charts with meaningful indicators.
But then the Charts became overloaded and there was more doubt in all the options that were in front of me then there was clarity...
I turned another path with the use of markers.
Now I put up a Chart and add my markers to it.
They only show up if the conditions for that marker are met.
Leaving a empty chart ( and 2 MA's ) and an occasional marker.

The problem I have when using MC is that there are very little possibilities for markers.
The arrow up/down with different color is just not enough for me.

So I entered a request for a marker upgrade.
I would like to be able to plot a 'icon/marker' in a chart.
This icon would be self-made, designed with a icon creator and stored with a unique name in a map in MC directory.

The user can then call this marker in his code. with parameters : position(above/below), size, color and offset.

All help endorsing this functionality would be greatly appreciated. You can do so on this page

Thanks,

LabRatNo9.

I've voted for it, but have you tried using a font like Wingdings?

If you make a text, and set the text size to something bigger like 20, then you could use the wingdings (or related fonts like webdings) to make special markers. You only need to memorize which letter will give you the symbol that you want to use for a specific marker - it's not perfect, but perhaps due able while waiting for your feature request.
