This is the one I made . It paints the body and wick/tail the same color and if you go to chart properties ---> candle outline color and just select the color you want for dojis and itll paint them the color you want .
If you want a different color bar - open the code and you can change it easily , default is maroon c<o and darkgreen c>o .
I am looking for an indicator that doesn't really look at dojis or inside bars and
change the color of a candle. I don't know the name of what I'm thinking of. (See attachments.)
Does any known indicator look at the body of a candle and compare it to the body of the previous candle. If the second candle's body is within the first,
then color it red, or whatever.
First image is from some old CL data I have.
Second image is modified in Paint to show what I'm thinking of.
As you can see from the attachment, I wasn't concerned about it being bullish
or bearish. Just current body within previous body. I certainly don't regard this
as important right now but was wondering if color coding was done by someone
in the past. If I really really need this programmed I'll re-post about it. It
probably has been done sometime somewhere on-line.
I have modified the ThrustBars Indicator and added a few lines of code. It will now detect
- upthrust bars (close above the high of the prior bar, lime)
- downthrust bars (close below the low of the prior bar, red)
- inside close bars (close within the range of the prior bar)
The inside close bars are subdivided into four categories
- inside close up with body covered by body of prior bar (white)
- inside close up other (black, with lime outline)
- inside close down with body covered by body of prior bar (yellow)
- inside close down other (black, with red outline)
Of course all colors are selectable. So watch out for white and yellow bars.
