do you guys know if these remote access control apps could potentially have security issues?
I do wish to be able to trade from my mobile but when its comes to my trading computer, I always tries not to use it for any other purpose and would not install any software unless needed; I dont even check emails on that machine.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
They usually use https plus/minus some direct routings so protocol is as secure as anything else, usually more secure than the wi-fi bit of any link anyway. You have to judge for yourself the company depending on which one you choose. I think major compromises would be expected to get public scrutiny fairly quickly. I take a similar approach to yourself (e.g. this week I got a little paranoid about Skype's supernodes, lol). We all have to accept that as yet the internet is still the wild west but at least we are still small fishes.
Since I don't believe anyone else has mentioned it yet, it should be worth noting that NT8 includes mobile access built-in. Ray demoed it on one of the prior NT8 webinars on futures.io (formerly BMT).
