Looking for info on multiple series on the same chart ( NT7 ). When I add a second series of-say
NQ- 1st 600 tick 2nd 3000 tick , the first series becomes either spread out or squeezed together or both . Is there some trick to this ? I know other
software's like Neoticker that handle multiple series with no problem . Thanks
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
If you have two data series on a chart, one with 600-tick-bars and the other with 3000-tick-bars, then you need to plot 5 600-tick-bars for each 3000-tick-bar, if you want to keep the synchronicity. This leaves you two options, either to spread out the fewer 3000-tick-bars, or to squeeze together the 600-tick-bars.
I experienced the same problem. Made a mock-up screen shot for NinjaTrader & sent it to them. I was told it would be "passed on to the development team". Wait & see. From what I could determine, when you have 2 dataseries time-frames on the same chart, "Equidistant bar spacing" defaults to FALSE. That's the problem! The only way I found around it was to generate 2 charts. Keep the larger time frame chart at the top portion of the screen & scrunch the shorter time frame chart down below it at the bottom of the screen, so that one chart is directly above the other. Then you can compress / expand either chart to (sort-of) match the other charts bar spacing.
If they would just allow us to set one or the other charts to Equidistant Bar Spacing = TRUE, I think that might make it more readable. So far, I have found no use whatsoever for having to different time frames on the same chart in NT7.0 - at least not they way it currently displays - all stretched out & garbled. Unreadable bars & unreadable indicators.
Hopefully the development team will take my suggestion & accompanying screenshot under advisement.

Well , I guess I expected all the bars (on the smaller time frame ) to be evenly spaced . This is definitely
not a problem with other software , but apparently Ninja didn't figure out how to do this . The smaller
time frame already had some bars spaced far apart and others squeezed to close together .I thought
perhaps there was a trick to it , but I see it's just the software can't do what other software does easily .
thanks
Thanks, was not aware of the uneven spacing, as I use minute bars for my trading. Problem does not occur, if you display a 60 min and a 10 min chart. The uneven spacing is a NinjaTrader bug, you should post it on the forum.
Here's a combo of TF for the last few days (60 minute on top, 10 minute on bottom) - still untradeable in my opinion.
I tried switching & put the 10 minute on top & 60 minute on the bottom & it's just as bad.
The third screenshot has both the 10 min & 60 min in the price panel (overlaid). Still just as bad - visually speaking.
If someone knows of a way to rectify this, I'd be grateful, too.
