Quite a number of great and generous coders here will take whatever is thrown at them and will write a Ninja code for it. Many others don't simply have a clue about programing and fail and get discouraged in the process of trial and error. I frankly don't know how some of great guys like Fat Tails and others find the time to contribute so much to these requests for code development. Also, I don't know If there have been seminars at futures.io (formerly BMT) on a primer for coding NT7 (other than BM video), but 1 or 2 seminars on the basic C# structure, syntax, objects, and steps to consider for writing NT scripts will go a long way to teach non-coders enough to fish for themselves. Maybe there is a shark out there to catch. As an alternative, maybe this information can be presented systematically in a Sticky thread.
I'm working with another nexusfi.com (formerly BMT) member to do an educational NinjaScript webinar in Feb. I'll announce the details in the Upcoming Webinars thread later.
If you want to spend money I'm a fan of the Head First books over the For Dummies books when you are exploring something new for the first time.
That might all be overkill if you are "only" coding things for Ninja Trader but if you have the time and the extra HDD capacity available between your ears it is good stuff to learn.
