Surely connectivity and reliability are its historical pluses, not the full-featured setup of commands.
What the presenter did not clarify - and he/she should - is the TTSIM is not a server 'a-la-Zenfire' demo: it's quite slower and incomplete vs a true TT Guardian connection. So, monpere, I agree with you that the speed has not been shown at all. Also running X_Trader over a TTSIM often does not allow to use all of the feature available with the live/production release. For example also some of the volume features in X_Study are badly charted because of TTSIM feed.
I agree with you that the presenters did not make the X_Trader shines as it could ....probably the XT101, X_Study101/201 modules, even if static, could be more helpful in some regards.
Also it's my perception that they thought to present some of the 'Pro' features while instead most of the attenders were at the webinar for the 'Free' version that does not allow to use the Autotrader/Spreader and other features.
So there has been a sort of mismatch between what they tried to present and the audience.
What it would be great is the idea of a 'TT open day' organized at their TT Forum as a live webinar, where people could interact at different levels with prepared personnel for different kind of questions. Unfortunately the TT Forum is quite dead for a trading platform that is one of the 'standard' @ institutional environment.
Oh well, reading my posts you could think I'm not pro TT....but actually I'm a TT addict!
We simply would like to see more feeback and responsive action when some issues have been reported over and over or simple features requested for years and years.
That's the reason I use X_Trader for managing orders but clearly you have different needs (ATM, C++); therefore you could be interested in TT Dev Net site.
