There are two good multi-monitor apps. I use DisplayFusion, but I used to use UltraMon. I don't know if they do it, I don't use a laptop to trade so don't experience what you are going through.

The x,y coordinates should be saved in your NT...

The x,y coordinates should be saved in your NT workspace. You need to make sure NT is closed when you make any monitor changes (connect or disconnect).
