Using your suggestion, and on version 10.0 I was able to find the setting using this path: Timeframe > Customize > For volume.

I'm writing an intraday futures strategy that needs to refer to "Total Volume (contracts)", but the documentation says that for intraday futures "Ticks" will return either "Total Volume (contracts)"...
