What is the formula we need to put into a cell to get the OHLC of a given instrument with TOS for Excel ? also, do we need to enable the DDE server somewhere or it's always 'ON' ?

Mike is partially right. You can use the platform in simulation mode using the Free Edition License and have access to all software features, except the ability to trade live. Ask for such a license...
