thanks for the input, that's pretty much what I've been doing... keeping a very detailed trade log that includes slippage and whether or not it affected the P/L for the trade... nothing significant...

yes, I can explain.
there is slippage but it doesn't affect my strategy that much. I find that about half of the trades slip about 1 tick and maybe around 10% of the trades slip 2 ticks. ...

volume matters
it should be noted also, that this will depend on the volume level when trades are placed. CL tends to have much higher volume in the first 2 to 3 hours after the open, and like 1 to 2 hours before...
