I think the sweet spot for the beginning of a move is about 2 to 3 bars on the meter with some rapid ticking. By the time you're up to 4 to 5 bars, the move is already under way.

Personally, I haven't noticed much lag. I use it for Gold and CL. When order flow starts to change, I usually see 1 bar on the meter with a slow tick cadence..then when I get up to level 4 or 5 on...
