Still selling a few puts on /ES and Apple as the majority of my option trades. Simple and boring I know, but long term it has been a winner.

That's usually the case for VIX after a spike except in 2011 after S&P downgrade and 2008. That's a low risk & fairly high probability trade, the best kind.

It has, I couldn't get filled on Monday after several attempts. SPY no problem. We discussed this on the other thread and the response was "no problem, the market makers are there" Yeah for a 10-20%...

I look at strikes that are ~-.20 delta and around 2 months out. I run different scenarios at that strike to figure out what strike and size, I am comfortable selling....

I have been trading AAPL for years 1 or 2 contracts at time. It is my favorite equity and bought some more last Friday. AAPL has had impressive run since the split last year, just kept that in mind....

Going to roll down in the morning when the fills are better. Hopefully the sell off will hold but I'm thinking there will be a bounce when Europe opens,who knows?

It's the best time to sell or roll down. I sold some Oct 1920 Thursday afternoon when VIX was around 18. But I have always been bad at timing now the VIX is 28 and the option has almost doubled....
