Most likely the best advice. It just grinds me that something that should be simple like "what was your profit? pay these taxes", is instead made difficult by what seems like intentional...

2009 is the first year I traded futures exclusively. I'm curious about how to handle the 1099-b. Since there is no number in box 2 (proceeds) in the 1099-b (did not sell any stock), I'm not sure...
