FT is absolutely correct with the formulas.
It's very easy to construct the TriggerLines in Sierra Chart with it's indicator on indicator...

One version of modified and smoothed moving...
One version of modified and smoothed moving average uses the same recursive formula for EMA. After enough iterations:
SMMA(n) = EMA(2n-1) (they are almost equal)
regardless the starting values...
