I'd say it's in their interest NOT to give you a free license. If you use Mirus you have no choice but to use Ninjatrader. and without a license it's a bit limited unless you just want to enter buy...

Mirus is great for me. The only "problem" is it recalculates the avg cost of a position if you hold it overnight. so I only use it for daytrading. other than that it's great.

Mirus is great but you'll have to fork over a grand if you want to use ninjatrader. it's worth it IMO.
