Yes of course, the trading-day is from 5 pm CT to 4 pm CT, so I don't know why to use another starting-time

ES: yesterdays daily bar close was 4309.50 and yesterday settlement price was 4310.75 :)

Of course the daily bar close is the last tick at 4 pm CT, but I guess you mean how the settlement-price is calculated? The settlement-price is the vwap from 2:59:30 pm CT to 3 pm CT
