These new class of behavior modifiers has really piqued my interest.

I've been reading meeting/call notes searching for "the next" big one that is currently in R&D so I can place a few trades.

What have you found?

Noro already pricing in their "soon" competitor, right?

I'm very interested in hearing from others where they are looking for great options.

My reply to the topic in another thread:

Ozempic and Wegowy work by mimicking Glucagon Like Peptide-1 (GLP-1), which plays a role in the hormonal appetite signaling. In other words, it makes you feel full. Ozempic also delays gastric emptying, so you feel satiated longer. And yes, it's true, for the effect to be sustainable these drugs need to be taken for life. Obesity is the condition of mismatch. As in too much energy in as opposed to energy out. Ozempic and other meds are a crutch, not the solution.

Intermittent fasting is not a magic bullet, and I don't think sixteen hours break from food will induce autophagy. From memory, you need a five day fast to get it (I think Walter Longo's research has demonstrated this). If you want to lose weight (and improve many other aspects of health) you need energy deficit. There is no other way around it. How to do it in a sustained way is a million dollar question.

Semaglutide is not primarily a behavior modifier, by the way, it is a GLP-1 receptor agonist.

@Small Dog are you researching or building any positions around future similar drugs?

The fact that results are not permanent is a feature, not a bug, from investor POV.

Mike, I missed your post in February. No, I am not investing in this. I just commented on Ozempic.
