Thanks Mike--I have tried SC and while I like it, I find the DOM too awkward for managing trades--it's just aesthetics mostly, but it does not "sing" to me. I was really on the verge of crossing over, but in the end it just didn't feel right.
Alright, well -- second question. Can't solve the price scale. As is on 6E is formatted like "14,280" instead of "1.4280". I tried copying settings from DTN which work perfect on my charts, but can't make it work with TT feed.
Anyone have working QM settings for proper decimal position on 6E with TT? I know TT sends as integers only, so maybe this is an @MultiCharts bug as if it is TT compatible there should be a workaround.
I downloaded the MCDT and couldn't get it to connect to Velocity. Did you have to enter port, clearing account, and FFT2 or are those left blank? Thanks.
Mike:
I have asked Multi this very question about proper price format for TT and they told me that it was the way TT was sending the data....in whole numbers. When I contacted TT, they told me that they have no decimals in their price quotes. The only solution Multi offered was to change the global setting on your PC for the currency format settings. NOT a pratical solution most obviously. If you use any other data feed that has the right price format and you make the global change to satisfy TT...the other data would be wrong.
I have had other issues with TT on Multi with corrupt data on my charts. Mutli said they are working on fixing the problem, so we'll see how it goes.
TT is a big company. MC needs to just add this work around in QM as an option for TT guys, so we can format it right. All the QM options don't work, and it seems they should, sounds like a bug to me.
For anyone who uses Multicharts through Velocity Futures and IQFeed for their historical data, do you get the CME fees waived? For IQFeed it was about $85 per month for most CME data, but I think when I asked Velocity they said to get the CME fees waived, I had to use Ninja. Not sure why since the CME site lists MultiCharts and Velocity futures are compatible brokers for this program.
My NT lease is almost up and the fact that my rectangle objects drawn for support/res areas disappear randomly is killing me, this is a known bug, but they are too lazy to fix it. If I can get set up with multicharts DT since I don't use any custom indicators or need strategy/automation, I will switch before week's end. But paying $200+ for data when I was getting it for $85 sounds a little steep.
Here is a list of software the CME Group has approved due to their ability to execute trades through a qualifying broker. Hopefully this list will grow as the CME Group approves additional partner products.
