If your out go exceeds your income....your upkeep will be your down fall!!!! It seems our governments do not grasp this. Everything they do has been and will be a bandaid... and until America realizes this... Well it is going to be ugly!!!!!!
Most people I talk to are aware of this ... and frustrated that they are helpless to do anything about it. Your Congressman campaigns on "Smaller Government, Balancing the Budget and eliminating waste" gets elected and as soon as he shows up in Washington, Lobbyist have a fund raiser for him and everything he promised you goes right out the window.
Even if he did try to keep his promises, the vast majority of the budget comes down to Military, Social Security, Medicare. He tries cutting anyone of those, much less all of them, he will incur the wrath of whichever group is affected by his proposal and he will not get re-elected.
Next election.... wash...rinse...repeat...
