Coffee, cocoa and cotton futures trade at about 10,000 to 15,000 contracts per day. That is not bad but not enough for short term intraday traders. However, it can be considered as an excellent liquidity for postition trading.
For intraday trading I would rather suggest futures that trade above or around 50,000 contracts per day.
If you look at commodities which trade above 100,000 contracts per day, this includes WTI crude, Brent crude and corn futures. Futures that trade above or around 50,000 contracts per day include natural gas, gold and soybeans. Wheat, sugar, and soybean oil trade below 50,000.
