I am leaving IB and looking for new broker. Can you help? I tried Tradestation and TOS before and not interested in going back.
Read many posts here and saw recommendations on several including CTS, Mirus. Concerned about the safety of my capital and looking for financially sound firm to trade GC, SI, CL, Fx futures and large volume options. Love to get market profile. I cant get GOM stuff to display MP for me.
Personally I am extremely happy with Velocity Futures, and I've used several others. You need to just read what people have to say, then contact your list of brokers and make a decision based on your own personal needs and how you feel you are being taken care of.
Thanks Mike. I checked Velocity and they do not trade options. I think Mirus also do not trade options.
I need to check CTS, light speed, AMP and read bigtrader recommending TOS but that was in sept. 2010. I do not know if TOS still the same company after being bought. My experience with their customer service was negative recently. they changed. However, it might be the lesser evil than IB.
Sorry, I forgot you were looking for options. IB is a good equities and options broker. ThinkOrSwim is probably the biggest options house and their platform was built with options in mind and has a lot of options features you won't find elsewhere, but they are also one of the most expensive. However, based on my understanding, if you do any kind of decent volume you can email and explain you will only open an account if you get a better commission rate and they will usually oblige.
I am with IB now and have been for some years. I want to leave IB after several bad experiences. Zenfire is another name I see on the forum. Thanks much.
I use and have used ATC Brokers. I like them, good service and good people.
However, I have gotten whacked by a few bad trades that their system malfunctioned, but they are a reseller through Open E Cry anyways and have always refunded me WHEN I recorded the errors.
