Long one contract, 99.00.

Feels like a terrible entry but if this thing starts running...

Bought another contract at 99.20, without waiting for a retrace this time.

SL at 99.00

Edit,

Closed the one bought at 99.20 at 99.00, keeping the first one. -20 ticks.

Short at 99.00, really tried to get a fill at 99.10 but no luck.

Crude feels quite weak I must say, that 99.10 might have been the lower high I'd love to see.

Why are you using ProRealtime, and not a good charting/trading software ?
It's maybe good enough for daily charts, but really not for intraday trading: the data feed is quite bad (worst than IB), and the sofware itself is also not great at all...

Well, I'm not trading the real futures (when I say CL it's just for convenience), I'm trading CFDs. This is mainly due to tax reasons. I'm not really concerned with how good or bad Pro RealTimes feed is, I only use them as a visual aid for my levels since I use a CFD broker to place my orders, and they don't really care about real prices if you know what I mean. Either I get filled at 99.10 or I don't. Correct tick data in the charts doesn't really help me at all in this case.

Closed my short right before the news, -3 ticks.

edit,
I had the wrong time for the news, lucky me...

Short 1 contract at 1090, SL at 1094.5 (OMXS30)

Seems like I can forget about a decent entry in CL...

Edit,
Added 1 contract at 1087.5, SL for both at 1091

Edit2,
Sold 2 more at 1085, SL for all at 1088.5

Closing the position at 1087.5 since it missed my SL at 1088.5 with an inch.
-2.5 points.

Been slapped around quite a bit today and it was no fun missing that 120 tick drop in CL I had been waiting for all day. Oh well, I'm done for the day, maybe I'll get it tomorrow, maybe not.
